Volleyball Recap: Irondequoit's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Irondequoit can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Webster Schroeder Warriors on Saturday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Irondequoit's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leah Greco, who had 18 digs and one assist.

Leading Webster Schroeder to victory were Maddie Siphakongviseth and Lauryn Watson. Siphakongviseth had 31 digs and six assists, while Watson had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Siphakongviseth has posted since back in October.

Irondequoit's defeat dropped their record down to 24-6-3. As for Webster Schroeder, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-3-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Irondequoit nor Webster Schroeder have any future games scheduled.
