Baseball Recap: Scranton Comes Up Short

Scranton came into this matchup off a tough 15-run defeat on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Norfork Panthers by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rockets of the 10-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Scranton has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Norfork, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.

Scranton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Norfork, they will head out on the road to face off against Jasper at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least ten runs in their last seven games.
