Basketball Game Preview: Centerville Tornadoes vs. Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks

The Centerville Tornadoes will venture away from home to challenge the Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Centerville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Tripp-Delmont/Armour likes a good challenge.

Centerville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 76-51 margin over Sioux Falls Lutheran on Thursday. The Tornadoes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Tripp-Delmont/Armour was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 61-56 to Marty Indian. The Nighthawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Centerville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Tripp-Delmont/Armour, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Centerville came up short against Tripp-Delmont/Armour in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 52-45. Can Centerville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
