Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saluda). They put the hurt on the Ninety Six Wildcats with a sharp 12-2 win on Friday. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-7), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The victory (which was Saluda's third in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Ninety Six, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saluda will venture away from home to face off against Ridge Spring-Monetta at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ninety Six, they will head out to square off against American Leadership Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
