Baseball Game Preview: Pioneer Valley Panthers vs. Paso Robles Bearcats

Pioneer Valley hasn't had much luck against Paso Robles recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Pioneer Valley Panthers challenge Paso Robles Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Pioneer Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Templeton and fell 7-6.

Kamron Owen put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Mike Rosas was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Paso Robles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Clovis West, falling 11-3.

Paso Robles saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaiden Soboleski, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Soboleski has posted since back in May of 2024. Emmett Dobroth also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Paso Robles' loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Pioneer Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Everything went Pioneer Valley's way against Paso Robles in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Pioneer Valley made off with a 10-4 win. Does Pioneer Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Paso Robles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
