Fans got a thrill when Micah Coffey and Michael Moffatt connected against Richards. The longest such play in Upstate Eight - River this season, the connection resulted in 96 yards.
Batavia extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Bulldogs, 34-14. The victory was the 13th in a row for the team.
Batavia's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Coffey threw for 229 and 2 touchdowns and Moffatt had 127 yards receiving. On the ground Anthony Scaccia contributed 188 yards. Scaccia helped Batavia's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 32 yards.
He was 15-18 with 1 interception.
Scaccia was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 33 carries, he ran for 188 yards as Dennis Piron's team defeated Richards. Coffey also contributed to the rushing game with 26 yards on the ground.
On the heels of Coffey and Scaccia, the Bulldogs have had great success on offense. Coffey leads the league in passing with 2,466 yards, while Scaccia has rushed for 1,913 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Geneva's Pace Temple, with 799 yards on 37 catches.
Batavia took down Tony Sheehan's team 34-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Coffey ran for 26 yards in the win.
