La Veta came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Salida, but Madisyn Wilcox wouldn't allow it. The Spartans blew past the Redhawks 3-0 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Wilcox, who had nine digs and six aces. She has been hot, having also posted 13 or more assists the last seven times she's played.
The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-18, 25-11.
Salida's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for La Veta, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
