Basketball Recap: Clay's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Clay's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 36-19 win over the Englewood Rams. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Devils as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Clay got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kathryn Moran out in front who posted eight points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Moran a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Layla Summers, who had six points.

Clay's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11. As for Englewood, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-11.

Clay will take on Bishop Snyder at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bishop Snyder will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Clay surely won't give up without a fight. As for Englewood, they will head out to square off against Stanton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
