Basketball Recap: Conway Comes Up Short

Conway lost against Seymour back in January of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Conway Bears had to suffer through a 73-43 loss at the hands of the Seymour Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 458th, while the Tigers are ranked 161st).

Conway has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for Seymour, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conway will challenge Stoutland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Stoutland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 games -- so hopefully Conway likes a good challenge. As for Seymour, they will take on Sparta at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
