Baseball Recap: Monta Vista Takes a Loss

Monta Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lynbrook Vikings. That's two games in a row now that the Matadors have lost by just one run.

Monta Vista saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Koppes, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Monta Vista's record is now 13-10. As for Lynbrook, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17.

Coming up, Monta Vista will venture away from home to face off against Gunn at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lynbrook, they will host MacDonald at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings are facing the Condor at the right time seeing as the Condor are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
