Basketball Recap: Andover Central Comes Up Short

Andover Central played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 67-27 loss at the hands of the Andover Trojans. The Jaguars have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Andover Central lost, don't look at Taylin Tabor. Despite the final result, she posted 13 points and three steals.

Leading Andover to victory were Bella Bouddhara and Aliyah Green. Bouddhara went 9-for-13 en route to 20 points and three steals, while Green dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Bouddhara's third in a row with at least 18 points. Katie Evans was another key player, putting up eight points.

Andover Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Andover, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Jaguars take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andover, they will challenge Arkansas City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Andover is on a 16-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Arkansas City a eight-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
