Softball Game Preview: Trinity Blazers vs. Amundsen Vikings

The Trinity Blazers will head out on the road to square off against the Amundsen Vikings at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Trinity has given up an average of 10.8 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Trinity came up short against DePaul College Prep on Monday, falling 16-1. The Blazers haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, Amundsen came up short against Evergreen Park on Saturday and fell 5-2.

Ashley Ellevog was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Amundsen's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Trinity might still be hurting after the 16-2 loss they got from Amundsen in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Blazers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
