Simeon won the last time they faced Hyde Park and things went their way on Friday too. The Wolverines sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Thunderbirds.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Simeon got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 23-25, 25-17.

The win got Simeon back to even at 1-1. As for Hyde Park, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Simeon is set to face off against their familiar foe Tilden at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Hyde Park will take on rival Victoria Soto at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
