It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Westfield had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 30-7 margin over the Crown Point Bulldogs. The Shamrocks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Deacon King was his usual excellent self, rushing for 145 yards and a touchdown. Beau Braun did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 84 receiving yards.

Westfield didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Cato June. Another thorn in Crown Point's side was Alex Aramboles, who picked up three sacks, forced a fumble, and made seven total tackles.

Westfield pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.2 points per game. As for Crown Point, with the loss, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-1.

Westfield will face off against Brownsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brownsburg will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Westfield surely won't give up without a fight. Crown Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
