Baseball Recap: Dora Comes Up Short

Dora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 13-1 to the Gateway Christian Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on Friday.

Roddy Neal was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.

Dora's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Gateway Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Coming up, Dora will welcome Melrose at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Coyotes will need to watch out since the Buffaloes have now posted at least ten runs in their last nine matchups. As for Gateway Christian, they will head out to square off against New Mexico Military Institute at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Colts' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
