Volleyball Game Preview: Del Sol Dragons vs. Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica Seawolves

The Del Sol Dragons will take on the Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica Seawolves in a tournament on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Del Sol will bounce into Friday's game after beating Chaparral, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Dragons came out on top against the Cowboys by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

Del Sol had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-11, 25-7, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica entered their tilt with Crossroads on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Roadrunners. The game was the first time the Seawolves have beaten the Roadrunners on their court since September 26, 2015.

Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica took Crossroads into a fifth set where they got it done with a ten-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 20-25, 17-25, 15-5.

Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Del Sol, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
