Basketball Recap: Uniontown Eagles vs. Oswego Indians

The Uniontown Eagles won the last time they faced the Oswego Indians, and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went Uniontown's way against the Indians as the Eagles made off with a 62-40 win. With Uniontown ahead 34-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Despite the loss, Oswego still got an impressive performance from Josh Hutchinson, who scored 19 points along with three steals and two blocks. That was a full 47.5% of Oswego's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Long, who scored six points along with two steals.

Oswego struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

The win got Uniontown back to even at 7-7. As for Oswego, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Uniontown will head out on the road to square off against the Jayhawks on Monday. Jayhawk Linn and the Eagles are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Oswego, they will be playing at home against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Paul is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
