Baseball Game Preview: Clinton Red Devils vs. Eau Claire Shamrocks

The Clinton Red Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Eau Claire Shamrocks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Clinton barely beat Southside Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Devils blew past the Sabres 13-3 on Monday. Considering the Red Devils have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Eau Claire started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Chester. They came up short against the Cyclones on Thursday, falling 15-8. The Shamrocks haven't had much luck with the Cyclones recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Clinton's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Eau Claire, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Clinton came out on top in a nail-biter against Eau Claire in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
