Softball Recap: Horicon Marshmen vs. Johnson Creek Bluejays        
        
		
            
 It was a good run, but  Horicon unfortunately witnessed the end of their  five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Johnson Creek Bluejays by a score of  2-1. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  runs Horicon has scored all season.
  Lizzy Gibbs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks.
 On the hitting side, Horicon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Maggy Kane, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Even though they lost, Horicon  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with ten  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Johnson Creek only tossed three.
 On Johnson Creek's side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in:  Hailee Walk gave up only one earned run on one hit.
 Having lost for the first time this season, Horicon  fell to 5-1. As for Johnson Creek, their victory was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 9-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horicon will  face off against Rio at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Horicon is facing Rio at the right time seeing as Rio is stuck on  a  six-game losing streak. As for Johnson Creek, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Palmyra-Eagle at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
