Softball Recap: Del Campo Find Success

Del Campo can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Nevada Union Miners 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since May 7, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Issabella Sanchez, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaydence Apodaca, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Del Campo's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Nevada Union, they dropped their record down to 1-7-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Del Campo Cougars duke it out with Roseville Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on March 27th. As for Nevada Union, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Placer at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
