Baseball Recap: St. Benedict's Prep Takes a Loss

St. Benedict's Prep was the 17-3 winner over Newark Academy when they last played one another back in May of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Gray Bees fell just short of the Minutemen by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The Gray Bees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Benedict's Prep now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Newark Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Benedict's Prep will take on Caldwell at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chiefs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Gray Bees' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Newark Academy, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Cedar Grove at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
