Volleyball Recap: Visitation Academy Comes Up Short

Visitation Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Burroughs Bombers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vivettes of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Visitation Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 26-28, 25-19, 25-15, 25-17.

Visitation Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Burroughs, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-7-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Visitation Academy will take on Clayton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Burroughs, they will venture away from home to take on Whitfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
