Glen Rock fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Emerson on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 14-10 to the Cavaliers. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Glen Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Emerson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glen Rock will challenge Hawthorne at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Emerson, they are taking a road trip to challenge Paramus at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
