Softball Recap: Rahway Indians vs. Plainfield Cardinals
Rahway had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They never let the Plainfield Cardinals onto the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Rahway also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.
Amanda Lebers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Lebers was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Danielle Maher, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Hannah Gallagher was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.
