Basketball Recap: Struthers Comes Up Short

Struthers had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 2-13 to make it seven. They took a 45-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hubbard Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-35 back in December of 2025.

As for Hubbard, they now have a winning record of 9-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.

Hubbard was led to victory by Chloe Cicero and Layla Songer. Cicero posted 15 points and five steals, while Songer shot 67% from the field to rack up 19 points. The matchup was Songer's third in a row with at least 15 points. Aniyah McElroy was another key player, putting up six points and six rebounds.
