Baseball Recap: Issaquah Gets the Win

Issaquah's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Mount Si Wildcats 1-0. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in March, they had to take a 4-3 loss.

The result came thanks to Hudson Carvalho's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Issaquah is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Issaquah saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Seika Saito, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Issaquah now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Mount Si, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.

Coming up, Issaquah will welcome Hazen at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mount Si, they will venture away from home to face off against Kentridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3.6, the Chargers 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
