Softball Recap: Vigor Drops Highest Score of Season Against Blount

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vigor). They put the hurt on the Blount Leopards with a sharp 23-6 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won four games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Vigor got a massive performance out of Brianna Lett, who got on base in four of her eight plate appearances with seven stolen bases and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Bendolph, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one double.

The win (which was Vigor's third in a row) raised their record to 4-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.7 runs over those games. As for Blount, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Vigor nor Blount have any future games scheduled.
