Baseball Game Preview: West Jessamine Colts vs. East Jessamine Jaguars

An exciting East v. West battle is about to be fought. The West Jessamine Colts will be playing in front of their home fans against the East Jessamine Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. West Jessamine is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Saturday, West Jessamine came up short against Sayre and fell 9-4.

West Jessamine saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Milholland, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Jordan Head also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, East Jessamine wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

East Jessamine's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-9. As for West Jessamine, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15-1.

West Jessamine was able to grind out a solid victory over East Jessamine in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 5-0. Will the Colts repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
