            Basketball Recap: Providence Academy vs. Silverdale Academy Seahawks        
        
		
        
        
            Providence Academy and Silverdale Academy squared off in some playoff action  on Tuesday, but Providence Academy had to settle for second. They came up short against  the Silverdale Academy Seahawks, falling  72-48. While losing is never fun, Providence Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th in Tennessee, while Silverdale Academy is ranked 82nd in Tennessee).

 Despite the  defeat, Providence Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Kennedy Phillips  shot 5-for-7 from deep and  dropped  a double-double with 25 points and 12  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most  points  Phillips has scored all season.  Myla Johnson was another key player,  putting up five  points and six  boards.
 Silverdale Academy found their leader in sophomore  Kinsley Owen, who  dropped  a double-double with 25 points and 12  rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which  Owen has scored at least a third of Silverdale Academy's points. Another player making a difference was  Abigail Littrell, who  went 5-for-10  en route to 14  points along with eight  boards and three  steals.
Providence Academy's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Silverdale Academy, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-12 record  this season.
 Providence Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Silverdale Academy, they have already played their next contest,  a  52-50  win against Christian Academy of Knoxville on the 21st.
