St. John lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Milford, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Pioneers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Scarlet Hawks a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

St. John's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Milford, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Coincidentally, St. John's and Milford will both be playing Algonquin Regional the next time they take the field. The Pioneers will head out to face the Titans at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Scarlet Hawks will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
