Volleyball Recap: Fillmore Central Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Fillmore Central came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Chatfield Gophers. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Gophers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Fillmore Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-23.

Maddie Zwart paced Fillmore Central's offense, picking up 12 kills. Zwart got some help from Aubrey Daniels and her 18 assists. Hannah Vaalemoen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Fillmore Central's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Chatfield, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.

Fillmore Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Zumbrota-Mazeppa on the 5th. As for Chatfield, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Hastings on the 5th.
