Marshall County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the St. Mary Vikings as they made off with a 9-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Marshals, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Marshall County pushed their record up to 19-9 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for St. Mary, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshall County will square off against McLean County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
