Basketball Recap: Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Find Success

After losing to Heritage Academy the last time they met, Scottsdale Preparatory Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Spartans managed a 50-45 win over the Heritage Academy Heroes on Monday.

Heritage Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jonathan Mccaine, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Mccaine a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Paul Soltero, who posted seven points and eight rebounds.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Heritage Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy will take on Rancho Solano Prep in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Heritage Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Phoenix Country Day at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
