Football Recap: Vernon Hills' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Vernon Hills can now relate to. The matchup between the Cougars and the Prairie Ridge Wolves didn't end well, with the Cougars falling 46-30. The Cougars lost against the Wolves in their previous head to head back in October of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-0 score last time.

Vernon Hills lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Colin McMurray, who rushed for 75 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 129 yards and one TD on only 12 passes. His longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards. Giuseppe Urso also helped with two scores in total.
