Volleyball Recap: Chavez Takes a Loss

Chavez lost against Verdugo Hills back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles fell just short of the Dons by a score of 3-2. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Dons 25-15 in the first set.

Chavez actually scored more points across those five sets (108-102), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-22, 25-19, 18-25, 19-17.

Chavez's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Verdugo Hills, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

After both having extra time off, Chavez and Arleta will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Verdugo Hills, they will face off against North Hollywood at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
