Soccer Recap: Capital Takes a Loss

Capital was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the George Washington Patriots. If Capital were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to George Washington when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Capital's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for George Washington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3-2.

Coming up, Capital will challenge Nitro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for George Washington, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 9-0 victory against Parkersburg South on the 27th.
