Baseball Recap: Citrus Hill Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Citrus Hill walked away with it. They skirted past the Rancho Christian Eagles 2-1.

Efren Urrea spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Citrus Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Farmer, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Farmer has hit this season. Another was Gabriel Brion, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Citrus Hill's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Rancho Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8.

Citrus Hill didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-5 win against Highland on the 20th. Rancho Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
