Basketball Recap: Emmanuel Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Emmanuel Christian Academy lost against Dayton Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Emmanuel Christian Academy Lions fell just short of the Dayton Christian WARRIORS by a score of 28-25.

Despite the loss, Emmanuel Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mya Lawrence dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Emmanuel Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Dayton Christian, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-9.

Emmanuel Christian Academy will head out to challenge Newton Local at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Newton Local will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Emmanuel Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dayton Christian, they will square off against Clinton-Massie at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Dayton Christian has lost four straight at home , while Clinton-Massie has lost three on the road.
