Preview: Marshall vs. Rosemead

This week, Marshall and Rosemead square off against each other on Friday at 7:00 PM. Marshall has seen its point totals steadily rise over the past three games, a trend the team will no doubt hope to continue.

Marshall brought some tenacious defense (the best it has had all year) into its match last week. It took its contest against Sotomayor last week by a conclusive 21 - 0 score. No one had a larger role in the success than junior Isaiah Fry, who brought his A game into the contest. He ran for 76 yards and also punched in two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Rosemead has to be hurting after a devastating 45 - 14 defeat at the hands of California last game.

Rosemead's loss dropped it to 0-4 while Marshall's win brought it to 1-4. Both Marshall and Rosemead have been struggling on the defensive side of the ball (the former allowing an average of 33.6 points per game, the latter an average of 39.75 points per game). We'll find out which offense can take advantage of this fact when the two teams meet this week.
