Recap: West Point Green Wave vs. Holmes County Central Jaguars
The West Point Green Wave had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 34-21 victory over Holmes County Central on Friday. Winning may never get old, but West Point sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Holmes County Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Garrison Davis. Despite the final result, he rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.
West Point's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Holmes County Central, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-1.
West Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Holmes County Central also has no future games currently scheduled.
