Baseball Recap: Marion Black Knights vs. Sodus Spartans

Marion extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 26 on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-8 in the process. They lost 12-0 to the Sodus Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in April.

For Sodus' part, Austin Cincinello was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. That's the most RBI Cincinello has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Laird, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Coincidentally, Marion and Sodus will both be playing Williamson the next time they take the field. The Black Knights will host the Marauders at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Spartans will head out to face them at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
