Baseball Recap: Oasis Christian's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Oasis Christian had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They blew past the Legacy Charter Eagles 13-5. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 14-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Landon Gall and Michael Gonzalez did most of the damage at the plate: Gall scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4, while Gonzalez went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Gall is becoming a predictor of Oasis Christian's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 5-2 (and 6-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Branney, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Oasis Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Legacy Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oasis Christian will square off against Ruskin Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Legacy Charter, they will face off against Oak Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
