Softball Game Preview: Rising Sun Tigers vs. Perryville Panthers

For the second straight game, Rising Sun will face off against Perryville. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rising Sun's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Perryville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Rising Sun is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Perryville get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won eight in a row.

Rising Sun let Carsyn Godwin and Bailey Vaughan run wild. Godwin scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Vaughan scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs Vaughan has posted since back in April of 2024. Malea Ferdinando was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Rising Sun always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
