Basketball Recap: Aydison Dilworth's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Jackson South Side over Lift for Life Academy

Fans were treated to a battle of the Hawks on Saturday. Jackson South Side fell 53-49 to Lift for Life Academy. Jackson South Side has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aydison Dilworth, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Dilworth is becoming a predictor of Jackson South Side's success: when she posts at least ten boards the team is 2-1 (and 1-3 when she doesn't). Zandria Cohill was another key player, shooting 71% from the field on her way to 10 points and three steals.

Jackson South Side now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lift for Life Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Jackson South Side will host University School of Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lift for Life Academy, they will square off against Miami Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
