Softball Recap: Thornton Academy Trojans vs. South Portland Red Riots
Thornton Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 13-4 to the South Portland Red Riots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Thornton Academy of the 14-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
For South Portland's part, Annalise Soucy was incredible, firing off three triples, three runs, and two RBI while going 3-for-4. Ella Nickerson was another key contributor, going 2-for-5 with a home run, four RBI, and a stolen base.
