Football Recap: Countryside Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Countryside can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 62-0 loss at the hands of the Robinson Knights. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Cougars, who until this game were averaging 11.5 points allowed.

Julia Smith threw for 79 yards on 15 of 28 attempts. Sanaia Jackson was her top target, picking up 30 receiving yards.

Haidyn Spano had another great game (as she tends to do), throwing for 242 yards and seven touchdowns for Robinson. That's the most passing yards Spano has posted since back in March. Izzy Harris was in the mix as well, providing Robinson with two TDs.

Countryside's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Robinson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

Countryside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Robinson, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 53-0 win against Gulf on the 28th.
