South Mountain had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Tempe on Thursday. The Jaguars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Buffaloes. The win continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Buffaloes: they've now won three in a row.

South Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tempe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, South Mountain will be playing at home against Gila Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Tempe and Saguaro will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
