Baseball Recap: Harlan Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Harlan lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Clarinda, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's matchup. The Cyclones came out on top against the Cardinals on Monday by a score of 12-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cyclones considering their two-run performance the game before.

Harlan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Clarinda, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Harlan beat the Cardinals by a score of 17-2 later that day.
