Basketball Recap: Kayden Johnson and Adriana Jenkins Secure Win for Evergreen Christian

Evergreen Christian lost to Christ Chapel Academy last Friday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Evergreen Christian Eagles managed a 43-37 victory over Christ Chapel Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Evergreen Christian was led to victory by Adriana Jenkins and Kayden Johnson. Jenkins dropped a double-double with 16 points and 15 boards, while Johnson went 5-for-7 to rack up 11 points and seven rebounds. Jenkins also grabbed three steals, which is notable because Evergreen Christian is 4-2 when she posts at least three steals, but 10-15 otherwise.

Evergreen Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Evergreen Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-17. As for Christ Chapel Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.

Evergreen Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-38 defeat against Fairfax HomeSchool on the 20th. As for Christ Chapel Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-36 victory against Fairfax Christian on the 20th.
