Volleyball Recap: De Beque Dragons vs. Rangely Panthers

De Beque lost against Rangely back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The De Beque Dragons fell 3-1 to the Rangely Panthers. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

De Beque started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 27-25, 25-15, 25-17.

Despite the loss, De Beque had strong showings from Isabel Zaragoza, who had ten digs, and Avery Rigsby, who had 14 digs, six kills, four aces, and two blocks. Rigsby is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Even though they lost, De Beque kept the net locked down and finished the game with 12 blocks. That's the most blocks they've posted since back in September.

De Beque's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Rangely, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-4.
